"Forty
years after its Broadway debut, Cabaret still
packs a powerful punch, as proven by Boiler Room Theatre’s
outstanding new production...
But most of all, my hat is off
to BRT for refusing to water down the play’s seamier
elements. Yes, the show is dark. But 40 years after its Broadway
debut, Cabaret is still remarkably enlightening
and absolutely entertaining."

Book by Joe Masteroff
Based on the play by John Van Druten
& Stories by Christopher Isherwood
Music by John Kander
Lyrics by Fred Ebb
October 6 - November 4, 2006
Put down the knitting, the book, and
the broom and come to the Cabaret! If you loved
what BRT did with Chicago, then
hold on tight for Cabaret. The scene is a night
club in Berlin as the 1920s are drawing to a close. The Master
of Ceremonies
welcomes the audience to the show and assures them that,
whatever their troubles, they will forget them at the Cabaret
and his songs provide wry commentary throughout the show.
Dark and deeply moving, Cabaret features Kander
and Ebb's (co-creators of Chicago) timeless score,
bawdy humor, and
a thought-provoking look at the beginning of the Third Reich's
rule over Germany. Another Franklin first!
Rated R for adult
language and content.
Starring Billy Ditty as the Emcee
and Jennifer Richmond as Sally Bowles. Co-starring Daniel
Vincent, Daron J. Bruce, Scott Rice plus a large ensemble
cast.
